Chris & diane machen

When you hear Chris and Diane Machen sing, you hear their heart. With a deep love for the Lord, they lead others to worship Him in song and praise. Having spent over three decades in the field of Contemporary Christian music, the Machens have had influence as singers, songwriters, publishers, actors, studio musicians, choir clinicians and worship leaders.

Chris and Diane have recorded for Word Records, Urgent Records, Discovery House Music and the Master’s Music Company. They have appeared with such artists as Wayne Watson, Steven Curtis Chapman, Scott Wesley Brown, Larnelle Harris, the Imperials, and Luke Garrett. They have appeared on national television, and their songs have been played on Christian radio across the nation.

The Machens continue to contribute to Christian Music in the field of songwriting, having nearly 400 songs in their catalog. These include titles recorded by various artists such as the Gatlin Brothers, The Imperials, Gold City Quartet, Luke Garrett, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Steve and Annie Chapman, Steve Amerson and The Talleys. A great blessing to the Machens has been the opportunity to write and publish music for choirs. Some familiar anthem titles include “Bow the Knee,” “God is Able,” “I Have Seen the Light,” “And God Cried,” “God Still Moves,” “Wise Men Still Seek Him,” and “Crown Him.”  Some of the musicals written are More Than Just A Man, Save In the Cross, Gift of Heaven, Bow the Knee, I Have Seen the Light, The Night the Angels Sang, The Power of His Touch, Journey of Hope, and a children’s musical entitled, In God We Trust. Word, Brentwood-Benson, Lillenas, Lifeway, Shawnee Press, Hal Leonard and the Master’s Music Company have all published songs by Chris and Diane.

The great desire of Chris and Diane’s heart is to serve God faithfully through their music. Their ministry goals are to lead the Church in worship and reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which they have done for over twenty five years in a traveling concert and conference ministry.  Missions is also an on-going part of the Machen’s ministry.  Chris and Diane have been involved in worship and evangelistic campaigns in many countries around the world, including Guatemala, Spain, Germany, Korea, Mongolia, Cyprus, Mexico, Romania, Colombia and Peru. In addition, Diane is a sought-after speaker and worship leader for women’s events.

Chris and Diane have also served on the staffs of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX, First Baptist Church in Carrollton, TX, Preston Ridge Baptist Church in Frisco, TX and through their ministry, Worship to the World, served in association with the church planting ministry of E3 Partners/I Am Second.com in Plano, TX.

The greatest joy of Chris and Diane’s life is the blessing of their children: daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Stephen Bush; son, Ryan; and two delightful granddaughters, Elizabeth Joy Bush and Cecily Grace Bush.

Simply stated, Chris and Diane are real people with a real desire to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
